We are seeking a Head of Origination to join Borusan EnBW Enerji at our Kozyatağı, Istanbul office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct active market research and field activities to acquire new large-scale corporate customers (Key Accounts) for the portfolio
  • Manage complex bidding processes end-to-end; deliver presentations to senior decision-makers and lead contract negotiations
  • Provide strategic advisory services to optimize customers’ energy costs
  • Execute bilateral agreements with power plants (hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, or thermal) to secure cost-effective energy supply for the portfolio
  • Analyze generation capacities and imbalance risks of power plants to develop procurement strategies
  • Establish long-term partnership models with producers to ensure supply continuity
  • Analyze consumption profiles of large consumers and design new product models such as fixed-price, indexed (PTF / USD / EUR), hybrid, or flexible-volume structures
  • Structure renewable-focused PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and offer green energy solutions (e.g., I-REC, YEK-G certification) to customers
  • Develop hedging-based structured products to protect both customers and the company against market price volatility

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Origination, Energy Trading, Portfolio Management, or Business Development within energy markets
  • Experience working with large corporate consumers (Key Accounts) and/or power generation companies
  • Strong analytical capabilities in financial modeling and pricing structures
  • Solid knowledge of energy derivatives, hedging, and risk management mechanisms
  • Experience with PPAs, bilateral agreements, and structured product design
  • Proven track record in managing complex tender processes and negotiating with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to review contracts, assess commercial risks, and provide strategic insights
  • Strong understanding of energy market dynamics (PTF, indexed pricing mechanisms, imbalance management, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset, results orientation, and strong commercial acumen
  • Proficiency in English
